DebatePro is a consumer debate platform operated by Tarheel Tactics LLC, a Delaware single-member LLC that owns and operates the DebatePro brand and app ("Tarheel Tactics," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy applies to the DebatePro website, iOS app, Android app, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

Important: By default, debates and debate history are visible to other users in the DebatePro community. This enables:

• Community members to learn from debates
• Discovery of debates through leaderboards and featured content
• Transparent skill assessment for rankings and tournaments
• Fair matchmaking based on historical performance

When debates are visible to the community, your public username and debate content are displayed, but your email address and private account details are not shown.

Private debates: We plan to offer privacy controls in the future. Until then, assume debate content and rankings are visible to authenticated users.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

• Some information may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes
• Debate transcripts may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve educational value

8.3 Data Portability

• Request an export of your debate history and personal data in a machine-readable format

• Opt out of promotional emails (transactional emails will still be sent)
• Manage notification preferences in account settings

9. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while active and for 90 days after deletion
• Debate content: Retained for the duration of service; may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve educational value
• Server logs & error data: 30 days (rolling)
• Database backups: 30 days after primary deletion
• Analytics data: Anonymized, retained indefinitely
• Voice recordings (if applicable): Up to 90 days; deleted on request within 30 days

* These represent our default retention targets. Actual requirements may differ for enterprise engagements based on the applicable MSA or SLA.

10. International Users

DebatePro is operated globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.

DebatePro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes:
